My own Holy Spirit Symbol

Hello it has been a long time since I’ve done a blog post. This week is very special for us Catholics because Pentecost is coming up. Last week we create a poster. In the poster we have to explain one symbol of the Holy Spirit and we have to make our own symbol. I explained 2 symbols because in my symbol I combined them together. The two I picked were water and oil but I should’ve done three because I put a cloud in my symbol too. Here is my symbol. What do you know about the Holy Spirit?

The Creator of Disney!

This week we have been learning about how to write a biography.

We had a lot of goals to do in our writing but for me I have been focusing on these goals

  • Use a range of  written features to engage the audience.
  • Proofread for spelling, grammar and punctuation.

Before we make our own biography we first have to make a model biography. Everyone in my hub had to write about David Attenborough. The teacher would write down the paragraphs and we ( the students ) had to copy what they wrote but we have to change some of the words.

When we finished our David Attenborough writing we had to find a person to write about. I picked Walt Disney because I thought he’d be a good person and my teacher agreed with me. Now that we have picked our person we then have to make research about them. Heres my research!

So far I’m not done with my writing. I’m in my editing stage, I’ve done my writing but its not done, like the teacher hasn’t checked it yet.

Who do you think has made an impact?

#Love!

Hi everyone, just giving a little reminder that God will always love us even though we might be sinners!

Give me comments!

Refection:

When I made this post I didn’t think I’d like it because I don’t really post anything on social media and I don’t really think about to in future as well but this is a good way to share the word to everyone ( The word is the bible ).

I felt good because as a Catholic I want to spread that word so everyone can have faith the same faith as but I understand if you don’t want to have faith as me. But this is very important to us Catholics.

How do you share your love?

Comment please!

The Founder of Twitter

Kia ora! This week we have been learning about Elon Musk. We all know who Elon Musk is right? If you don’t know who Elon Musk is he is a very rich person who has made millions over the past few years. He has created some of the most poppular apps like like Twitter and more. He was also the co-founder of PayPal, he also made an electric car named Tesla it is a very popular car even though not many people can’t get it because of the amount of money it cost.

The goal was to: Identify some text events and features, and discuss what they make the reader think about and identify at least one important idea and justify why it is important.

This week since we have been reading articles and books about Elon Musk we have to create a poster about the features of the text and text events. It includes a summary of what my whole poster is about. Here is my poster!

Zoom in if you can’t see the text.

What do you know about Elon Musk?

Respect them!

This week for reading we have been learning about two Athletes. They are Lebron James and Michael Phelps.

Our goal was to make connections between texts and own life experiences, using more sophisticated texts.

First we had to read about both of them. I found Lebron more interesting because the read had more information which will make it easier for our create. After we have read the text we can do our follow up.

Our follow up was to talk about one of the Athletes and I chose Lebron. The follow up is like one of those circle graphs. Here it is!

Our create was to pick one Athlete which is not the one you did about in your follow up. The create was to make a collector card of them. Here it is!

Do you know any Athlete?

A Small World

This term we have been making a project about the world! Each term we learn about something and we have to make a project about that subject. This term our goal was to develop an understanding that water, air, rocks and soil, and life forms make up our planet and recognise that these are also Earth’s resources and my project shows that!

My project is in Minecraft and in my blurb that I made tells all the information about my world. I presented my Minecraft world on a piece of card. Here are the steps that I did!

  • Plan what my world is going to look like
  • Plan how I’m going to add different types of rock, how I’m going to show the air and more
  • Make it!
  • Write the blurb
  • Get everything printed out
  • Glue that to card then I’m done

Here is my plan!

Here is my Project!

How would you make your world?

MeMe In Nina’s Mind!

This week for reading our goal was to independently predict, interpret and analyse text, ‘reading between the lines’ to gain a deeper meaning.

This week’s text that we read was very deep. It was about a girl named Nina and she got addicted to her phone then she tore her phone apart because her mind was controlling her. As we read the text we had to answer questions so like we read one half then answer the questions then after we answered the question we had to read the second half.

Our create was to list pros and cons about the phone from the story and we had to use quotes from the story and explain what the author meant about the quote.

Are you addicted to your phone?

Learn About Rocks!

What know anything about rocks?

Do you know any types of rocks?

Well in today’s blog I will be teaching you about rocks.

Our goal was to make connections between other texts and general knowledge to expand meaning and pose questions, using more sophisticated texts.

We have been learning about rocks, I know it might sound boring it was interesting!

Our create was to make a poster about 5 different rocks and in that poster we had to put 4 questions that a buddy should google about.

The 5 rocks that are in my poster were chalk, flint, sandstone, limestone and rock salt. My favourite rock to research was chalk because it had about information.

Heres my create!

What rocks do you like?

Describe this House!

This week we have been doing writing tasks. Just like the blog post we had to pick three tasks to finish. I have finished three tasks and I had to pick one out of three tasks to blog about.

Our goal was to, create content that is concise and relevant to the curriculum task. That basically means we had to describe this image.

Our create was to describe this image  in 100 words! It was pretty easy for me because I love writing. So I wrote in a story kinda but with describing words. For example if I say “that house looks scary” I would change that up to “the house looks scary it was like it was creeping up on you” I don’t know what thats what I meant.

Here is my Doc that I wrote on!

How would you describe the image?

My Roller Coaster Task!

This week we have been doing these tasks for reading. There are a total of 5 tasks for reading and we had to choose one of the tasks to blog about. But we had to finish the task before we blog about it.

The task that I’ve chosen to blog about was the roller coaster task!

In this task there were steps that we had to follow. Here they are.

  • We had to read the text on the slide and watch the video’s
  • We had to make 5 questions that the customers might make
  • Make a design
  • Make the design on any digital tool or on paper

My Design was inspired by Kingda ka from Six flags. One because it look good and two it looks easy to design and make!

Here it is!

What roller coasters do you know?
